Historic Overview of The Go2IT Group

This is a short historic overview of how the company began and where growth has placed us today.

1995

The Foundation

Career Connections Staffing Services Inc. (CCSSI) was formed in 1995 as an Information Technology staffing firm based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Initially specializing in traditional staff augmentation and direct placement services, CCSSI was able to establish a niche as information technology staffing specialists within its first few years of existence. CCSSI was able to attain "Tier 1" vendor status with several Fortune 500 companies within the Cleveland / Akron market including First Energy Corp, Progressive Insurance, National City Bank, Key Bank, Bridgestone / Firestone, Lubrizol Corp, Eaton Corporation, Parker Hannifin, Lincoln Electric, Avery Dennison, Sherwin Williams, Bank One and General Electric. Within 12 months, CCSSI had become a preferred vendor with GE, having placed over 100 contractors at facilities located across 38 states. CCSSI had developed an effective recruiting model capable of locating top talent across a variety of industries, anywhere in the country.

2001

Creation of The Go2IT Group

In 2001, The Go2IT Group was created to distinguish its Information Technology Staffing Services from other lines of business. Further expanding its service offerings, Go2IT launched its Field Services division in 2002. Having developed a national recruiting model, Go2IT was now able to reach top talent anywhere in the country and began assembling a comprehensive database of desktop support technicians and skilled field engineers capable of being dispatched to any location in the United States at a moment's notice. Go2IT quickly developed a solid reputation based on reliable resources and excellent customer service. Experiencing rapid growth within this business segment, Go2IT began installing, de-installing, managing and maintaining networks for some of the country's largest retailers, hotel chains, restaurant chains, pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, and telecommunications companies.

2006

Managed Services Extension is Born

As a natural extension to the IT support it was already providing, Go2IT began offering Managed Services to its clients directly in 2006. With its significant investment in hardware and software tools, Go2IT's team of IT professionals was able to provide remote and onsite support to clients located anywhere in the country. Go2IT began offering 24/7 monitoring of client networks and on demand Help Desk services in order to provide instant support to clients experiencing technology-related problems.

2011

Hardware Division

In 2011, The Go2IT Group continued to expand by supporting additional hardware solutions based on the Intel Technology Platform. These solutions have allowed The GO2IT Group to fulfill a critical need in the small and mid-sized business segment by providing complete turn-key solutions with end-to-end support. One vendor, one support contact. These complete certified solution recipes have allowed for extensive hardware and software growth along with greater network infrastructure stability, allowing organizations to focus more on business growth and less on business support. Hardware offerings include Certified Intel Server Systems, Laptops, Tablets, Ultrabooks and Small-form-Factor workstations that have a miniature footprint with enormous power capabilities.

Backup and Disaster Recovery were also growing areas of focus in 2011 for The Go2IT Group; delivering cloud based online backup with full-on backup-to-disk-to-cloud solutions. Additional options included continuous data protection appliances. Our CDP appliances offer flexible disaster recovery options including Site-to-Site Data Backup to ensure mission-critical data is preserved safely in multiple geographical locations.

Present

Continued Growth

In 2012, The Go2IT Group has solidified itself as a key player in virtualization technology with a new blade server virtualization platform that will seamlessly integrate with Microsoft Hyper-V and become the backbone on which to deploy Microsoft Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VDI as part of strategic and highly advanced Managed Services initiative.

Web design, search engine optimization and search engine marketing are key areas of extreme growth potential. With extensive and advanced state-of-the-art technology knowledge featuring HTML5 and CSS3, The Go2IT Group has developed significant resources geared toward online marketing, web presence and social networking.
